Excel Course: The Basics (alignment, merging cells, colors)
Alignment
Select cells B11 to C14.
To align to the left, click on "Align Text Left":
To center, click on "Center":
To align to the right, click on "Align Text Right":
Now increase the height of row 5.
And edit the vertical alignment (see red area) of row 5's cells so that you get this result:
Merging Cells
Merging cells allows you to make one cell out of several.
Select cells A6 to C7:
Click on the button shown below to merge the cells:
Warning: Only the value of the upper left hand cell will be preserved when more than one of the cells contains data !
This will be the result:
Cell Background Color
Click on a cell, then click on the "Fill Color" button and choose a color:
Font Color
Select a cell, then click on the "Font Color" button and choose a color.
